When I say buy a barge, I mean buy the rusty old shell of a barge and convert it into a glorious buoyant bastion. How?
In just two years we will be thirty years old. That fact does not trigger anxiety attacks in us, We are not irrational Bridget Jones types you understand. It is however, a milestone and has made us question a few things. Are we where we want to be in life? Have we done enough to satisfy our curiosity of the world?

I feel like such a cop out not going for the full whack and putting a full marathon down. I'm not convinced that I'm built for that distance and that its not in fact, complete madness. A half marathon seems fairly manageable and more importantly I have friends who I can convince to train with me. If I were doing the full marathon I fear I would be doing it alone.
Pre 1900 all bikes had a fixed gear and no free wheel system. The free wheel system is what allows the rider to coast and take a break from pedalling. The pedals on a fixie maintain the momentum of the bike, the rider must resist this momentum in order to slow down or stop.
I found a suitable bicycle for my fixie project, which excites me more than a little. I will pick it up next weekend from Ilkeston, Derbyshire - That's far far away from Bristol where I live.
